RED SCROLL

It is the Chinese tradition to paste red scrolls on the doors or walls of a house. These scrolls are usually red, but some of them may be orange. The Chinese characters on the scrolls carry messages of Good, Health, Luck, Long Life, Prosperity, Happiness, etc.
